Epoxy & concrete coatings

Turn bland concrete into a floor you'll want to show off.

A professional coating takes a bland, dated concrete space and makes it beautiful, while sealing the slab against stains, chemicals and moisture. It's one of the toughest, easiest-to-clean floors you can put down.

We prep and repair the slab, then build a coating system in the color and finish you choose: one solid color, multicolored metallics or a flake finish. Every floor is topped with a durable clear coat matched to how it will be used.

Garages, basements, workshops and home gyms. A seamless, waterproof coating stands up to road salt, spills and dropped tools, and cleans up with a mop.

Why coat your concrete

Tough, seamless and easy to clean.

  • Stands up to abuse

High resistance to chemicals, oil and stains, so spills, road salt and dropped tools don't leave a mark.

  • Seamless & easy to clean

No grout lines or seams to trap dirt. Most floors clean up with a mop, which is why commercial kitchens love it.

  • Endless looks

Solid colors, swirling metallics, flake blends and stains, in matte or high gloss, to match a garage or a showroom.

  • Safer underfoot

Non-slip textures and flake finishes add grip in garages, kitchens and other areas that get wet.

Finishes

Pick a look that works as hard as it looks.

Every system starts with the same prep and ends with a durable clear coat. What goes in between is up to you.

Great overall experience with 5280 Floors. Special thanks to Chris, Scott, Eli, John, and Alan for taking great care of everything and installing the flooring beautifully. I really appreciated the daily updates, and they finished the job faster than I expected. The whole process was stress-free, and the showroom team was knowledgeable and helpful. They even offered to come back and correct anything they might have missed which is huge for a company to offer that especially something like floors

Outstanding experience with 5280 Floors! From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. We had a horrible experience with another flooring company that basically destroyed our floors to the point of needing complete redo. From the moment we met with Scott for the estimate, we knew we were working with a knowledgeable and professional company. He put our fears to rest and gave a complete outlook for what to expect. They helped us choose the perfect flooring for our space, communicated clearly throughout the process, and delivered exactly what they promised—and on time! The installation crew was punctual, detail-oriented, and left everything spotless. The quality of workmanship truly shows, and the finished floors look and feel fantastic. If you’re looking for reliable service, honest guidance, and beautiful results, I highly recommend 5280 Floors. We couldn’t be happier!

We finished a project with Scott and 5280. The quality of the experience was top notch. From the initial consultation and workup through the whole process we were very happy. They have been excellent to work with including some mid-construction disruptions which they handled with grace and kept excellent communication throughout. I am especially impressed with how they handle the relationship at the end of the project, happy to drop by anytime to make sure everything comes out perfectly.

5280 Floors did an incredible job on our hardwoods! We had them refinished and they look like brand new. Ivan was fantastic-his work was flawless, and he even finished earlier than expected. Scott was great, keeping everything on track and making sure the project ran smoothly from start to finish. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend 5280 Floors to anyone!

5280 refinished my floors. They look fabulous. Although the original floors in my 1913 house did not come with hardwood floors, I had them installed in 1999. The refinish brings me back to “last century” quality after many years of Great Danes trotting around. The workers cleaned up the floors, closed off the rooms which were not included and returned my house in just a few days, well on schedule. If you need floor work, I’d recommend them highly.

What’s the difference between polishing and an epoxy coating?
  • Polished concrete is the slab itself, ground, hardened and polished, so there’s nothing on top to peel or chip.
  • Epoxy and polyaspartic coatings add a seamless layer in a solid color, metallic or flake finish. They’re a great fit for garages, shops and showrooms.

We do both and can help you choose at your consultation.

What's the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?

Both are two-part coatings, a resin and a hardener that cure into a tough, seamless layer. Epoxy builds a thick, hard surface; polyaspartics cure faster and resist yellowing in sunlight, which suits garages with big doors. We'll recommend the right system for your space.

Is an epoxy coating a good choice for a garage?

It's one of the most popular uses. A coated floor seals the slab against oil, road salt and moisture, cleans up easily and makes the garage feel finished. Flake systems add texture and help hide dust and dirt.

Are epoxy floors slippery?

A smooth coating can be slippery when wet, so we can add a non-slip texture or choose a flake finish for entries, kitchens, garages and other areas that get wet.

Can you coat a basement floor?

Yes. A coating is seamless, waterproof and resists stains and chemicals, which makes it a great fit for utility rooms, workshops and basement gyms. For cozy living areas, it's less warm underfoot than other floors, so we'll talk through options.

Can you coat my existing concrete?

Usually, yes. We grind the slab to open it up so the coating bonds, remove old coatings and fill cracks before the first coat goes down. We'll look at your floor and tell you what's possible before you commit.

What about stains and dyes instead of a coating?

Staining is a durable option on a budget. We use non-reactive, environmentally friendly dyes in one or more colors, then finish with a clear coat in a matte or glossy sheen.
