Space by space

The right floor for the way your space is used.

Foot traffic, carts, spills and cleaning crews all wear on a floor differently. Here's where we usually start.

Restaurant dining room with booth seating and a light hardwood floor
Glossy polished concrete floor in a lounge with large windows
Boardroom with a long conference table on a polished concrete floor
5280 Floors crew member grinding a concrete slab with an industrial grinder
Polished concrete lobby floor with a stained circle and sunburst pattern

Dining rooms need warmth; kitchens and service areas need a floor that shrugs off spills, grease and daily mopping. We often pair the two.

How it works

From site walk to handover.

Every commercial project follows the same five steps, with one point of contact the whole way through.

Start with a consultation
  1. 01

    Site walk & scope

We walk the space with you or your contractor, check the slab or subfloor, and talk through traffic, timeline and budget.

  2. 02

    Proposal & schedule

You get a clear written proposal and a schedule built around your operations, phased by area where needed.

  3. 03

    Materials & surface prep

We source commercial-grade materials from suppliers we trust and handle moisture testing, repairs and leveling before any finish goes down.

  4. 04

    Installation

Our crew works to the schedule, keeps the site clean and contained, and sends progress updates and photos along the way.

  5. 05

    Handover & maintenance

We walk the finished floor with you, hand over care instructions and stay on for ongoing maintenance.

Outstanding experience with 5280 Floors! From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. We had a horrible experience with another flooring company that basically destroyed our floors to the point of needing complete redo. From the moment we met with Scott for the estimate, we knew we were working with a knowledgeable and professional company. He put our fears to rest and gave a complete outlook for what to expect. They helped us choose the perfect flooring for our space, communicated clearly throughout the process, and delivered exactly what they promised—and on time! The installation crew was punctual, detail-oriented, and left everything spotless. The quality of workmanship truly shows, and the finished floors look and feel fantastic. If you’re looking for reliable service, honest guidance, and beautiful results, I highly recommend 5280 Floors. We couldn’t be happier!

Everyone at this company couldn’t be nicer to work with. Chris, Scott and Kate were all so polite and communicative and helpful. I purchased the flooring and they were able to install it while I was gone on a trip which was great because I didn’t have to listen to construction noise and there was absolutely no issues with them being in my home while I was gone—they are very trustworthy. However, the first install didn’t go as planned. The floor started warping and bubbling. It’s not entirely clear what caused this because they put down moisture barrier, although they later told me I had a lot of moisture coming up from the floor that was causing it to warp. It’s possible there wasn’t enough moisture barrier down or that the product I purchased (which was on the cheaper end) couldn’t handle it or something else entirely. Instead of telling me it’s my fault or not their problem, 5280 floors stepped up in a big way. They redid the floors entirely for free—including them purchasing a much higher quality product that they sourced for my floors than I had originally purchased. I am so happy with how they look now. For anyone considering getting their floors done, I can’t recommend them enough. You will have the peace of mind knowing they will make it right if anything at all goes wrong.

We finished a project with Scott and 5280. The quality of the experience was top notch. From the initial consultation and workup through the whole process we were very happy. They have been excellent to work with including some mid-construction disruptions which they handled with grace and kept excellent communication throughout. I am especially impressed with how they handle the relationship at the end of the project, happy to drop by anytime to make sure everything comes out perfectly.

5280 refinished my floors. They look fabulous. Although the original floors in my 1913 house did not come with hardwood floors, I had them installed in 1999. The refinish brings me back to “last century” quality after many years of Great Danes trotting around. The workers cleaned up the floors, closed off the rooms which were not included and returned my house in just a few days, well on schedule. If you need floor work, I’d recommend them highly.

Great overall experience with 5280 Floors. Special thanks to Chris, Scott, Eli, John, and Alan for taking great care of everything and installing the flooring beautifully. I really appreciated the daily updates, and they finished the job faster than I expected. The whole process was stress-free, and the showroom team was knowledgeable and helpful. They even offered to come back and correct anything they might have missed which is huge for a company to offer that especially something like floors

FAQs

Questions businesses ask us.

Still have a question? Our team is happy to help.

(303) 625-3835
Can you work around our business hours?

Yes, in most cases. We can phase the work by area or schedule it outside business hours so you can stay open. We plan the sequence with you before we start, so there are no surprises.

How large a project can you take on?

Anything from a single tenant suite to large commercial and multi-family projects. Tell us the square footage and timeline, and we'll staff and schedule the job to match.

Do you work with general contractors and designers?

Yes. We work alongside general contractors, architects and designers on new builds and renovations, from material selection through installation, and our showroom is open to the whole team.

How long does concrete polishing take?

Most commercial spaces are done in several days to a week, depending on the size of the space, the condition of the slab and the finish you choose. Homes are often quicker. We’ll give you a clear schedule at your consultation.

Is polished concrete slippery?

Not when it’s clean and dry; it’s a smooth floor, not a slick coating. For entries, kitchens and other areas that get wet, we can recommend a lower sheen or a slip-resistant treatment.

What’s the difference between polishing and an epoxy coating?
  • Polished concrete is the slab itself, ground, hardened and polished, so there’s nothing on top to peel or chip.
  • Epoxy and polyaspartic coatings add a seamless layer in a solid color, metallic or flake finish. They’re a great fit for garages, shops and showrooms.

We do both and can help you choose at your consultation.

Do you maintain floors after they're installed?

Yes. We offer long-term maintenance, including deep cleaning and recoating, to keep high-traffic floors looking their best between refinishes.
